ANSYS Academic Software Free For Students



ANSYS Inc. is providing free version of ANSYS software for students.The limitations of this version are:- 
It is limited to 512,000 nodes in case of ANSYS fluid flow problems and 32,000 nodes for ANSYS structural problems. Many advance features are also not available in the academic version.
              It will help students to learn some basics of computer aided engineering. Anyone can download this software from ANSYS website for free. And the main thing is you  have to keep your software up-to-date with student version license file, that provided by ANSYS for a time period of 3-4 month .After the license get expired you have to download the new license file available on the ANSYS student website, also you can read the information regarding how to install the license file onto your system in the installation help section of that webpage. A Brief History of ANSYS

ANSYS is a computer aided engineering software used mainly to simulate various engineering and scientific problems. It is one of the most popular software among the students, researchers and industries. 


The company was founded in 1970. by John A. Swanson as Swanson Analysis Systems, Inc. (SASI).The main objective of this company was to develop a finite element software that can be used to solve problems related to Structural physics . In the year 1994 SASI was sold to TA Associates and they changed the name of the company to ANSYS, Inc.  ANSYS ,Inc. acquired Fluent Inc. in the year 2006.


Currently the head quarter of ANSYS Inc. is situated at south of Pittsburgh in Cecil Township, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
